Prepare plate and platter presentations for banquets. Prepare cold dishes. Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and deep fryers to prepare dishes. Prepare ingredients for cooking, such as portioning, chopping, and storing food before use. Prepare and cook food. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients. Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables. Monitor food quality while preparing food and throughout the day. Test dishes to determine if they have been sufficiently cooked. Ensure food quality and notify manager if any product does not meet specifications. Wash and sanitize kitchen area, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment. Set up and divide work stations. Check and ensure that appliances and food are at correct temperatures.
Comply with all company safety policies and procedures; report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional. Maintain privacy of company-owned information; protect company property. Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect. Support team in achieving common goals. Meet quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds (22.50 Kg) or equivalent without assistance. Stand, sit or walk for extended periods or for an entire work shift. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print). Grasp, turn and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Move through narrow, confined or overhead spaces. Move over inclined, uneven, or slippery surfaces and stairs. Go up and down stairs and/or service ramps. Listen and respond appropriately to the problems of other employees. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent certificate from a General Education Development program

Related work experience:At least 2 years of related work experience.
Supervisory experience:At least 1 year of experience as a supervisor.
