IT Specialist Full Time

Position Summary:

Join the dynamic team at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, one of the tallest 5-star hotels in the world. As an IT Specialist, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of networks, servers, and user systems. This role involves providing technical support, resolving hardware/software issues, and training users on system security. Ideal candidates will have experience in IT services, particularly in hospitality, and a passion for working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.




Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and troubleshoot computer networks, servers, and related systems.
• Provide end-user support and resolve technical issues.
• Train staff on system usage and security.
• Ensure the smooth operation of hardware/software and network components.

Qualifications:

• Previous IT services experience, ideally in hotels.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience:

• Previous experience in IT Services or systems support role in hotels or above properties is desirable
• Past hospitality operations/systems experience and or systems support exposure.

Skills and Knowledge

• Tertiary education in management information systems, Hotel and or Business Administration advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills; can effectively communicate knowledge and expertise
• Demonstrated skills in support of applications, hardware, operating systems, and telecommunications.
• Ability to multi-task effectively while setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrated matrix management environment (vendors/clients/peers).
• Ability to travel occasionally.
• Demonstrated skills in trouble-shooting and resolving problems around PCs, operating systems, servers, peripherals, etc.
