Supervisor-Housekeeping Full Time

Inspect guest rooms, public areas, pool, etc. after cleaning by housekeeping to ensure quality standards. Responsible for preparing room availability reports, verifying room status, determining room availability discrepancies, prioritizing room cleaning, and updating departing guests on room status. Assist Housekeeping in handling daily activities. Act as liaison in coordinating efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry. Document and resolve room discrepancy issues with Front Desk. Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes made to assignment sheets or work boards. Communicate all issues to next shift. Complete required paperwork. Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.

Comply with all company safety policies and procedures; report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional. Maintain privacy of company-owned information; protect company property. Move at a speed required to respond to work situations (e.g., jogging, walking, slow jogging). Read and visually verify information in various formats (e.g., fine print). Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights, which requires fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Reach overhead and below the knees, including stooping, twisting at the waist, crawling, and bending. Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces. Move across inclined, uneven, or slippery surfaces and steps. Climb and descend stairs and/or service ramps. Make continuous use of manual dexterity and motor skills, frequently employing both hands and fine motor functions. Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing 55 pounds (24.75 kg) or less without assistance and more than 55 pounds (24.75 kg) with assistance. Ability to push and pull a loaded maintenance cart and other work-related machinery on inclined and uneven surfaces. Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods or frequently throughout the entire work shift. Listen and respond appropriately to the problems of other employees. Speak with others using clear, professional language. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by your supervisors.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

Education: High school diploma or equivalent certificate from a General Education Development program

(General Educational Development, GED).

Related work experience:At least 1 year of related work experience.
