Position Overview
This position is responsible for proactively soliciting and processing sales opportunities. Ensures timely and on-time operations to properly deliver services. Assists in leading all day-to-day activities related to sales and focuses on building long-term value-based customer relationships to achieve sales goals. Achieves personal sales goals.

Education and Experience Requirements
• Two-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field; 3 years of experience in Sales and Marketing or related professional field.

• Four-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field; 1 year of experience in Sales and Marketing or related professional field.
Core work activities
Build successful relationships that lead to sales opportunities
• Collaborate with sales channels external to the hotel to ensure sales efforts are coordinated and complementary rather than duplicative.
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new clients to achieve future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment programs, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
• Develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand the customer base for sales opportunities.
• Manage and build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide accurate, complete and valid turnover to Banquet Management.
Manage sales activities
• Participate in sales calls with sales team members to acquire new business and/or close business.
• Execute and support operational aspects of booking business (e.g., generating proposals, writing contracts, client correspondence).
Understand market trends and target customer information to maximize revenue
• Identify new business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals.
• Understand the overall market – competitor strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, etc., and know how to sell to these factors.
• Seize the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel needs.
• Understand the hotel’s key target customers and service expectations; serve them and provide better business solutions by understanding customers’ businesses, business issues and concerns.
Provide excellent customer service
• Support the company’s service and relationship strategy to increase customer loyalty by delivering exceptional service during every customer experience.
• Serve customers to increase market share.
• Implement and support the company’s customer service standards.
• Provide excellent customer service consistent with the company’s daily service fundamentals.
• Set a positive example in customer relations.
• Interact with guests and obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
