Key Responsibilities:

• Transport and Delivery: Safely transport goods, documents, and packages to designated locations on time, following specific delivery instructions.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular checks on the vehicle, including oil, tire pressure, and other basic maintenance, to ensure it is always in safe driving condition.
• Route Planning: Plan efficient delivery routes to avoid delays, taking traffic, weather, and other factors into account.
• Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading goods from the vehicle, ensuring that items are handled with care and secured properly for transport.
• Documentation: Accurately maintain delivery logs, records of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays encountered during each trip.
• Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional interactions with clients and colleagues, representing Zahr Freighters in a positive manner.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Vehicle Cleanliness: Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and presentable, conducting regular cleaning and inspections.
• Report Issues: Promptly report any vehicle malfunctions, traffic accidents, or other issues to the logistics supervisor.

Requirements:

• Valid UAE Driving License: Must hold a current and clean light vehicle driving license for the UAE.
• Experience: Previous experience as a driver, particularly in logistics or delivery, is preferred.
• Knowledge of Dubai Routes: Familiarity with Dubai’s roads, traffic patterns, and routes is highly advantageous.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to handle the physical demands of loading and unloading packages.
• Punctual and Reliable: Strong time management skills and a commitment to punctuality and reliability.
• Basic Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow delivery instructions; basic English proficiency is preferred.
• Attention to Detail: Diligence in maintaining accurate records and following instructions closely.
