Use proper rescue techniques when swimmers in need of assistance are observed. Monitor the swimming area for unsafe conditions, unusual or dangerous activities, and swimmers in distress. Promote the rules and regulations of the recreational facility. Be aware of possible situations where patrons are unable to safely participate in an activity and notify the supervisor or manager. Provide assistance to injured patrons until emergency medical services arrive. Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for patrons. Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures. Wash, mop, and clean pool deck. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager; complete safety training and obtain certifications.
Follow and enforce all line safety policies and procedures; report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents or injuries; complete required safety training and certifications. Maintain clean and professional uniform and appearance. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect. Support the team in achieving common goals. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds (22.7 kg) without assistance. Assist in moving, lifting, carrying, carrying and placing objects weighing more than 75 pounds (34 kg). Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift. Move at the speed required to respond to work situations (e.g., run, walk, jog). Visually inspect tools, equipment and machinery (e.g., to identify defects). Grasp, turn and manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights requiring excellent motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling and stooping. Move over sloping, uneven surfaces or slippery steps. Climb and descend ladders. Climb and descend stairs and service ramps. Greet and acknowledge all customers according to company standards. Speak to others using clear, appropriate and professional language and answer telephones using proper etiquette. Perform all other duties as requested by management and as appropriate for the position.
