IT Support Agent Full Time

Position Summary:
The IT Support Agent at Aloft Abu Dhabi plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient operation of the hotel’s IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, maintaining hardware and software systems, and providing prompt assistance to end-users, including guests and staff. The IT Support Agent will handle everything from setting up workstations to managing network and server systems, ensuring secure and confidential use of technology throughout the property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to software, hardware, network connectivity, and peripherals.
• Communicate with IS personnel to address technical problems and collaborate on solutions.
• Handle user account management, including setup, removal, and password resets to maintain data confidentiality.
• Monitor and manage inventory of technology devices, maintaining records of all equipment.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose computer systems and equipment to identify and solve issues.
• Provide support for network communications, including maintaining server systems and backup processes.
• Configure and install hardware, including desktop computers, laptops, docking stations, and printers.
• Educate users on security practices, especially regarding Personal Identifiable Information (PII).
• Assist in updating and upgrading IT infrastructure, including hardware and software components.
• Follow all company policies and procedures to protect company assets and ensure system security.
• Maintain a positive, professional working relationship with all hotel staff and departments to support technical needs.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in IT support or a similar role.
• Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software issues; basic understanding of networks, servers, and telecommunications.
• Attributes: Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communicator, detail-oriented, and team-oriented.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, move, and position items weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
