General Accountant Full Time NEW

The General Accountant is responsible for overseeing and implementing financial procedures and ensuring compliance with company policies. This role involves managing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), leading financial projects, and acting as a liaison with auditors and departments for seamless financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. SOP Design and Implementation
   • Develop and implement SOPs for financial operations related to:
     • Discount Vouchers, Gift Vouchers, Gift Cards, and Gift Certificates
     • Third-Party Discounts and Hotel Incentive Schemes
     • Accor-related incentives and promotional programs
     • Packages and system impacts (OPERA, MICROS, SUN, and other POS platforms).
   • Ensure procedural updates are officially documented and communicated.
2. Financial Projects and Auditing
   • Lead financial initiatives as assigned by the Director of Finance (DOF).
   • Act as the main point of contact for Accor internal audits.
   • Serve as a secondary income auditor when needed.
3. Operational Support
   • Provide courteous and professional financial support to all departments.
   • Maintain strong interdepartmental relationships and ensure seamless communication.
   • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
4. General Responsibilities
   • Attend and contribute to training sessions and departmental meetings.
   • Respond flexibly to changes in departmental needs or redeployment requests.
   • Adhere to company policies, including those related to fire, hygiene, health, and safety.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Strong background in financial procedures and accounting systems.
  • Proficiency in systems such as OPERA, MICROS, and SUN is advantageous.
  • Experience with audit processes is a plus.
