Job Description

The job holder is part of the EI RBWM Business Finance team responsible for providing insightful Finance support to the Product Heads in EI RBWM business in key tactical and strategic decision making. The job holder will support the Products business teams to provide analytics and support decision making and ensuring that financial policies and control framework are consistently applied across the Products in EI RBWM business units

• Utility of MI to stakeholders within the Product teams
• Robust medium term strategy for the Product lines
• Accurate and meaningful forecasts capable of quarterly updating
• Business cases for all material investment spend.
• PIR process to evaluate effectiveness of investment spend
• Understanding of costs and cost dynamics at all levels across the various Product lines
• Work closely with key stakeholders within the Product teams (Assets, Liabilities& WM and Cards) to ensure that management information produced remains relevant and aids decision making.
• Have regular insightful meetings with stakeholders.
• Understand the FTP applicable to products and ability to explain to business.
• Work closely with the EI RBWM Finance and Product heads in developing a robust and ambitious medium term strategy covering all key opportunities and risks. Prepare budget and forecasts.
• Establish a planning framework which links to the medium term strategy and enables modeling of key drivers of revenues and costs thereby facilitating accurate multi-year rolling forecasts.
• Establish and sustain alignment between Product and Segment revenues
• Keep the Accounting plans updated and be a key driver for projects linked with retail products from Finance side.
• Establish and maintain a robust challenge process for business cases submitted by the Product teams while at the same time ensuring efficient response times.
• Establish and maintain a robust post implementation review process for all material investments spends within the Product teams
• Establish a framework for providing a clear and transparent analysis of costs across various levels within the Product lines
• Establish a process for business unit heads to fully understand and challenge costs – both internally and externally.
• Complete all required trainings, make the SOPs for all responsibilities & assignments and train UAENs.

A qualified accountant or an MBA with specialization in Finance. Islamic Finance qualification will be an advantage.

• Between 8-12 years of post-qualification experience in the Finance function of a large bank with exposure to business finance
• Exposure to retail banking

A thorough understanding of finance concepts, business performance management and planning. Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to interact at senior management levels.
