Executive – Procurement Full Time

Global Feeders is looking for a Procurement Executive to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and ensuring the timely supply of ship equipment and machinery spare parts. This role requires strong negotiation skills, vendor management expertise, and the ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Vendor Management

• Source and procure necessary stores & machinery spare parts for vessels as per requests from the Master/Chief Engineer.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.

• Negotiate better pricing, credit terms, and quality assurance with suppliers.

Logistics & Coordination

• Coordinate with suppliers and vessel teams to ensure timely delivery of supplies upon vessel arrival.

• Manage the clearing of all ship spares for vessels arriving at airports and seaports.

• Work closely with the respective Superintendent to ensure procurement aligns with operational needs.

Inventory & Cost Management

• Maintain inventory control for ship spare parts and equipment.

• Monitor cost efficiency in procurement while ensuring quality standards.

• Assist in budget planning and cost analysis for procurement activities.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in procurement, preferably in the marine or shipping industry.
Skills:

• Strong knowledge of ship equipment and spare parts.

• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.

• Proficiency in inventory control and procurement strategies.

• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
