Engineer – Planning Full Time

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Engineer – Planning to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning and execution of construction projects, collaborating closely with project managers and team members to deliver high-quality results.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using advanced planning software such as Primavera
• Analyze and review procurement and construction programs for contractors and subcontractors
• Prepare detailed progress reports, graphs, and critical path analyses for weekly and monthly reporting
• Monitor actual progress against construction programs and report deviations to senior management
• Identify project risks and opportunities, developing mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines
• Collaborate closely with site supervision teams to gather real-time progress updates
• Conduct independent site visits to evaluate contractor progress against established programs
• Support the evaluation of potential additional works and variation proposals
• Maintain accurate records of program monitoring to support claim evaluations and dispute resolutions
• Participate in workshops and meetings to facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders
• Implement and optimize project management methodologies to enhance overall project efficiency
• Analyze project data and provide insights to improve planning and execution processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• 10 years of experience in roads construction
• Minimum 5 years experience on infrastructure projects
• Previous experience on a UAE project
• Proficiency in Primavera and other project management software
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and best practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy in scheduling and reporting
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience in the Middle East construction industry preferred
• Knowledge of UAE construction regulations and standards is a plus
• Willingness to conduct regular site visits and work in a dynamic project environment
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis
• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
