Assistant Accounting Manager Full Time

Key Responsibilities

General Activities

• Prepare and reconcile revenue-related municipality fees, tourism dirham, and service charges.






• Conduct spot audits on rooms against Housekeeping reports.
• Ensure all partial day room revenue is accurately posted in the PMS system.
• Complete additional assigned projects and tasks.

Income Journal & General Revenue Reporting (GRR)

• Download and import Trial Balance from PMS Opera.
• Verify ledger balances and prepare income journal adjustments.
• Upload entries through Vision Excel and prepare statistics reports in Sun Systems.
• Generate GRR reports integrating revenue and statistical data.

Verification & Audits

• Review and approve rebates for rooms, F&B, and other services.
• Ensure paid-out vouchers comply with standard operating procedures.
• Monitor credit limit reports, reviewing in-house guest credit balances.
• Audit hospitality checks, verifying approvals and compliance with policies.
• Verify guest and administrative telephone reports and scrutinize expenses.
• Review complimentary room listings and approvals against Opera reports.
• Reconcile banquet revenue, ensuring accurate postings and advance payments.

Financial Control & Reconciliation

• Prepare daily general cashier reports and reconcile bank deposits.
• Investigate overages and shortages, reporting discrepancies for further review.
• Reconcile guest, city, deposit, and package ledgers, ensuring data accuracy.
• Validate no-show charges and maintain recovery tracking sheets.
• Conduct float audits every two months, maintaining accurate records.
• Verify discount approvals and compliance with hotel policies.
• Perform surprise audits for open checks at outlets.
• Manage spa and recreation membership revenue, ensuring proper tagging and amortization.
• Oversee shop rent revenue postings and reconciliation.

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure clearing accounts are balanced, including cash and revenue sharing.
• Review open checks in Micros, requiring explanations from outlets.
• Audit rate variance reports and ensure pricing consistency.
• Maintain control over outlet checks, tracking issuance and usage.
• Verify front office incentive calculations and forward to payroll.
• Generate management reports covering rebates, hospitality, paid outs, and cashier overage/shortage.
• Upload and manage required reports in DTCM and DHSS portals.
• Process and submit payments for DTCM, municipality fees, VAT, and F&B tips.
• Ensure all future income audit tool (FIAT) reports are submitted within required timelines.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong knowledge of hotel financial operations and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Opera PMS, Micros, Sun Systems, and Vision Excel.
• Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
• Prior experience in hospitality finance preferred.
