The Accounts Receivable Clerk at JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai plays a crucial role in managing the hotel’s financial transactions and ensuring adherence to Marriott’s established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Credit Management: Approve issuance of credit in alignment with the hotel’s credit policy.
• Interdepartmental Collaboration: Maintain supportive relationships with other departments and audit their compliance with credit policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Financial Reconciliation: Balance the daily City Ledger with Income Audit to ensure accurate financial records.
• Billing Oversight: Ensure that bills are mailed within 48 hours, are well-presented, and complete.
• Account Follow-Up: Monitor all outstanding accounts, maintain proper documentation, and keep a history log of follow-ups.
• Team Supervision: Schedule and oversee the activities of the Credit Collector and Receivable Clerk, monitoring their performance.
• Issue Reporting: Inform top management of current and potential credit issues.
• Policy Compliance: Collaborate with the Controller and Assistant regarding credit and write-off matters.
• Meeting Coordination: Organize monthly credit meetings and quarterly write-off meetings, ensuring follow-up on decisions made.
• Reporting: Prepare the Quarterly Credit Loss report promptly as required by SOPs.
• Credit Card Handling: Ensure proper management of credit cards and imprints.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
