Accounts Payable Supervisor Full Time

The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable section, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all invoices, payments, and financial records.

What will I be doing?

As Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will ensure the accuracy of stocks, accounts payable, prepayments, and creditor/accruals accounting records and provide periodic reports to the Finance Department.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Supervise Accounts Payable Team, she will lead, train, and manage a team of Accounts Payable clerks, ensuring they meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.
• Review, verify, and approve invoices for payment. Ensure that they are properly coded, authorized, and processed in compliance with hotel policies.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolve payment inquiries, and negotiate favorable payment terms when applicable.
• Oversee the timely and accurate processing of payments (checks, ACH, credit card payments), ensuring adherence to payment terms.
• Ensure that accounts payable transactions are accurately reflected in the general ledger and reconcile supplier accounts.
• Assist in preparing reports and analysis related to accounts payable, cash flow, and other financial data for management.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards. Identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Support the finance team in month-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts and preparing necessary documentation for audits.
• Assist in both internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and ensuring the accuracy of accounts payable records.
• Continuously review accounts payable processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, AP certification) are a plus.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an accounts payable role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership position. Hotel or hospitality industry experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial accounting principles.
• Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Excel and Hilton Worldwide systems
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with vendors and internal departments
