Job Overview:

Groupon is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to identify, engage, and close new small-sized businesses for our platform. This role is ideal for a results-driven sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and engage new business opportunities through cold calling and outreach.
• Develop a deep understanding of merchant businesses, products, demographics, and revenue drivers.
• Utilize deal structuring strategies to maximize profitability for both Groupon and merchants.
• Lead contract negotiations, handling margins, discounts, and key financial elements.
• Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Collaborate with Merchant Development teams to ensure seamless account transition and long-term success.
• Drive market growth by acquiring high-quality merchants and increasing revenue.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
• 2-3 years of experience in a territory-based or product sales role.
• Proven experience in inside sales (phone, email, social selling).
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and sales quota achievement skills.
• Experience in relationship management with small-sized accounts.
• Ability to demonstrate sales instinct, judgment, and resilience.
• CRM experience (Salesforce preferred) is a plus.
