Refrigeration Design Engineer Full Time

Job Summary

The Refrigeration Design Engineer will provide technical expertise in designing, estimating, and supporting pre- and post-sales activities for Industrial Refrigeration Systems. This role requires strong engineering skills, project management capabilities, and technical communication to ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality refrigeration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales Activities:

• Analyze tender documentation and conduct site surveys.
• Participate in technical meetings with clients and consultants.
• Develop initial technical calculations, system designs, and equipment selection.
• Estimate costs, prepare quotations, and draft process flow diagrams.
• Support sales teams with technical solutions and proposal development.

Post-Sales & Project Execution:

• Oversee project execution, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and budget alignment.
• Guide CAD Engineers in creating technical documentation and submittals.
• Conduct technical reviews of documentation and supplier drawings.
• Provide on-site technical support during commissioning and troubleshooting.

Aftermarket & Retrofit Support:

• Assist in upgrade and retrofit projects for existing refrigeration systems.
• Provide technical support to the Aftermarket team.

General Engineering & Procurement:

• Conduct heat load calculations, pipe sizing, and other refrigeration-related computations.
• Prepare Purchase Orders for materials and equipment, working closely with Procurement teams.
• Perform risk assessments and seek cost optimization opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• 5+ years of experience in designing industrial or large-scale commercial refrigeration systems.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor (2D/3D design).
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, Visio).
• In-depth knowledge of refrigeration calculations and system designs.

Soft Skills:

• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent communication and technical presentation abilities.
• Self-driven, proactive, and structured approach to tasks.
