General Accountant Full Time

Zahr Frighters, a leading logistics and freight forwarding company based in Dubai, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing and overseeing our financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with UAE accounting standards and regulations.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
• Process invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Handle VAT filings and ensure tax compliance in accordance with UAE tax laws.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Provide support during internal and external audits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
