Job Overview
The Electromechanical Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all electrical and mechanical engineering activities of the contractor on the rail project. This role involves validating the design provided by the construction contractor, ensuring compliance with electrical and mechanical standards, and providing support during the construction supervision phase. He will work closely with various departments to ensure the successful execution of the project, particularly focusing on the integration of electrical and mechanical systems within the rail infrastructure.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Validate the electrical and mechanical design provided by the D&B contractor, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems, including power supply, lighting, HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing.
Conduct site assessments and surveys to gather data on existing electrical and mechanical conditions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Identify and mitigate electrical and mechanical risks, providing advice on potential opportunities and threats.
Provide regular progress reports to the client and internal stakeholders, highlighting any electrical and mechanical risks and opportunities.
Ensure the provision of all necessary electrical and mechanical data to the Contract Administration Senior Manager.
Provide technical support during the construction supervision phase, addressing any electrical and mechanical issues that arise.
Work closely with the required departments to ensure compliance with any legal, financial, and corporate protocols.
Prepare and deliver electrical and mechanical presentations as required.
Drive progression via coordination meetings, ensuring all electrical and mechanical obligations are met.
Review and approve electrical and mechanical reports, drawings, and specifications submitted by the D&B contractor.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of electrical and mechanical works during construction, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with electrical and mechanical requirements.
Conduct site visits and inspections to assess electrical and mechanical conditions and verify the implementation of recommendations.
Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and project team members on electrical and mechanical matters.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Professional certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent are highly desirable.
Knowledge and Experience:
Minimum of 12 – 15+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical engineering, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects.
In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles, construction contracts, and industry standards.
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple electrical and mechanical aspects and stakeholders effectively.
Experience working on Rail projects/sector is highly desirable.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex electrical and mechanical information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in electrical and mechanical engineering software and tools, as well as a strong understanding of engineering and construction processes.
