Chef De Partie – Chinese Cuisine Full Time
What are we looking for?
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the similar capacity in a hotel.
- Apprenticeship or College Level with basic / intermediate knowledge of Food Hygiene.
- Experience with Chinese cuisine.
- A clear passion for food and the culinary arts.
- Understanding of Chinese language will be an added advantage.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
- Lives and breathes the Shangri-La Values.
What will you do?
- Assist with overseeing of the daily operation.
- Check all set-ups in the restaurant functions and to coordinate all specific duties to team members under his/her supervision.
- Ensure consistency and highest quality of food taste, temperature and presentation.
- Maintain strict control on food portioning and wastage, ensuring gross food profitability.
- Maintain the highest quality in the food provided.
- Work with Shang Palace colleagues to keep excellent cleanliness standards.
